Student Testimonials
What our students have to say about us.

I spent a week learning basic Spanish in early 2003, and I found my instructor to be thorough and academically knowledgeable, not only in Spanish, but in linguistics in general. To say that she qualifies as a Spanish teacher for travelers is an understatement. I was pretty slow in the learning department, and I found her to have the patience for even me.

I came to Buenos Aires, Argentina, from Toronto, Canada, with a very limited knowledge of the Spanish language and have been taking private lessons here for the past several months. I myself am a teacher and subsequently, I have high expectations when I find myself in the role of the student. From the onset, my teacher, Silvia, demonstrated skill and professionalism in assessing my knowledge of the Spanish language. It was obvious to me that she had a great deal of experience and was adept at identifying my current skills, as well as my areas of need. From that moment on, I felt confident in her abilities as a teacher.

Learning a foreign language is exciting as well as challenging. As a teacher, patience, creativity, ingenuity and, naturally, in-depth knowledge of the language are all necessary qualities if a student is to learn. Silvia's style of teaching encompasses all of these traits. She also recognizes the importance of positive reinforcement which has been invaluable to me, especially when I have been frustrated with my progress and have had difficulty in identifying my steps forward. In addition to her excellent skills as a teacher, she naturally incorporates sensitivity and humor into her classes. The learning curve when acquiring a new language as an adult is enormous. I know that I have much more to learn but I consider myself very lucky that I have found a high quality instructor that can teach, support and motivate me to reach my goal of speaking Spanish fluently.

I took Spanish lessons here on three different occasions. My teachers were all excellent. They were prepared for every class. They were kind and respectful. These classes have depth!

When I arrived in Buenos Aires I could barely speak any Spanish so it was very difficult to get into the culture properly.  After about 4 weeks of lessons, I reached a level where I could speak to most people in shops and even have a conversation with some people.  Learning the language also helped me to understand the culture a lot better.  My teacher helped me to read the newspaper which is an excellent way to understand the issues that most of the people are concerned about. She also told me about some good places to go out!

Buenos Aires is a beautiful and very cosmopolitan city.  There are very many unemployed people there due to the economic circumstances.  But this makes it an excellent budget destination for us tourists, and on the whole the people are very friendly and welcoming.  You can eat at a different place every night.  You can get a beer at any hour of the day or night.  The city never sleeps.

I began taking Spanish classes after three months of intensive group courses in Chile , and found my teacher to be very knowledgeable and resourceful at refining my language skills. Through a variety of exercises and conversation I feel that I've made a lot of progress in a short period of time. The classes were always relaxed, yet we would often cover a lot of material in the two hour sessions. I definitely would recommend these classes to anyone looking to improve their Spanish at any level.

In the last year I've been taught by three teachers (all native speakers) and my instructor here, Silvia, is definitely the best. She is professional, well organized, knows how to explain the hardest Spanish points; and she also offers amazing value for the money! I had many teachers before finding her, but most of them at this price range were students without much experience or professional qualifications. And finally like nearly all Argentines, Silvia is super friendly and very welcoming.

I have been studying in Buenos Aires for six weeks and I can honestly say my Spanish has greatly improved. My understanding of Spanish grammar, conversational ability and reading comprehension have drastically increased.

I can never thank you enough for all of your help and patience during my stay in Argentina. Your practical approach made learning Spanish not only easy, but fun. I will recommend you to all my friends.
